Dream Job was created in the autumn of 2003 and was derived from my search for a job during the summer of 2003. I began to fantasize about the experience of finding the perfect want ad in the paper. The circled images present the idealized versions of my various dream jobs and the portraits accompanying them represent the kind of person I imagined replying to them.

Dream Job has been exhibited at the Milwaukee Art Museum (pictured), the Lodz Photo Festival in Poland, the Chicago Cultural Center, the Dazibao Center for Photography in Montreal, Photo Miami, DNJ Gallery (Los Angeles), and more. Select Images from Dream Job have been acquired by the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, the Lasalle Bank Collection, the Museum Of Contemporary Photography, and the Milwaukee Art Museum.
