Antipode

from $75.00

Antipode chronicles my failed attempt to visit the location diametrically opposite the earth’s surface of my art studio. In 2014, I contacted over 40 ship captains and pilots in Western Australia, the nearest large landmass, to try to purchase passage to my antipode to make a photograph. The book consists of my 49 email correspondences with ship captains and pilots throughout Australia, many of them helpful and some of them humorous, but none of them (with one shady exception) affirming their ability to transport me to my destination.
